How do I book an appointment?

If you're a new client, most commonly you will need to book for a redesign colour. If you're still unsure, please don't hesitate to contact us and we can advise you further. Simply send us a message via the contact form outlining the following: 1) What service you are looking to have. 2) Please refer to our opening hours, and please put in the days and times that would best suit you. 3) Your contact phone number.

When will I hear back from you and is my appointment confirmed?

We do our best to get back to you as soon as possible, however we only operate on specific days and the contact portals are only mointored on those days. Please refer to our opening hours for more details. However, we aim to get back to you within 48 hours.

How long will my appointment take?

Depending on what appointment you are booking in for, we allow 3 to 4 hours for a full colour service. A haircut, toner or blowdry & style appointment we allow 45 minutes to an hour. Typically a booking is for three hours which includes enough time for a consultation, colour application, toning and styling. Our appointment times do take time as there is alot that goes into the hair and we need to take the upmost care.

Can I bring my children or friends along to my appointment?

Unfortunately we have limited space and in order to give the ultimate relaxing experience to your self and others, we ask that you just bring your self along to your appointment.

Will I be lighter in one session?

Unless you are a hair stylist, it can be hard to understand why you are unable to achieve blonde in some instances right away. Every single person has a natural underlying pigment, which is exposed with any form of lightening. For anyone with dark hair, the most common pigment is red. Occasionally you will find some brunette hair lightens easily. Any hair that has a colour build up, or if your hair is compromised or damaged, you will find it won’t be able to achieve blonde in one session. If you have stubborn hair it will take several sessions to get you light. Unfortunately we don’t have a magic wand! You do have to go through the warmer colour stages of lightening, however we do our best to give you complementing tones so you can enjoy your journey to becoming lighter. We have no idea how your hair will lift until we consult to see your current hair and have had your first session. We use Olaplex, a hair insurance product to help keep the hair bonded during each session. Lightening needs to be done in a controlled manner to what your hair can tolerate. “But I’m having Olaplex, why can’t we just lighten to blonde all in one day?” Yes, it’s magic in a lot of ways. It lets us push boundaries that we never could before. However, we want you to have the most healthy and beautiful hair, which we pride ourselves on. In some cases, we may refuse to lighten, because it may not be safe to do so or you may regret it if your hair cannot cope.

What is Olaplex and how do I use it?

It is a simple three-step process which includes an active ingredient that works on a molecular level to seek out broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage. You can use Olaplex to restore compromised hair, or add it to another service to provide the ultimate breakage insurance. This means, we are able to leave colour on longer to push you colour further. Step 3 – the take home bottle is a weekly treatment for you to do at home. On damp hair, work a cap size amount through your mid length to ends. Leave it in for no less than 10 minutes. Then shampoo and condition as normal. This is a pre-wash treatment that you must wash out, not rinse out.

What if I am not 100% happy with my colour or cut?

We pride ourselves in our fail safe consultation process. However, we want you to be 100% happy with your colour service. Please contact the salon directly via phone within 7 days of your appointment and we will get you in to the salon at our earliest availability to identify the problem and assess your needs.

Hair Extensions

Do hair extensions damage your real hair?

At Style Co we are certified hair extension installers with over 15 years experience. Anyone can wear extensions and still have healthy hair. The main thing to remember is that any extension can damage your hair if applied incorrectly and if aftercare is not followed as per stylist recommendations. So in short, from Style Co, no they don't.

What hair extension methods do you use?

We offer a range of different extension methods as we believe certain extensions are better for certain hair types and lifestyles. Our most common method we use is Keratin Bonds and tape in extensions. That way we can then deliver a personalised result, best suited for your hair type.

How much do they cost?

Pricing varies greatly dependant on multiple factors. But commonly they can start from as little as $250, to $1200 plus, due to different looks, lengths and volumes etc. That is why a detailed consultation prior to a hair extension booking is essential.

How long do they last and are they reusable?

Provided you are using aftercare products purchased from Style Co, extensions will last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Depending on which method we apply determines whether we are able to reuse the extensions or not.

Can I have thickness without going longer?

Absolutely you can! It is one of our most requested services to date. The common reason for that is many of us are lacking length in the sides or volume throughout. This is an amazing way to have a natural fullness and thickness without having too much of a commitment with extensions.
